Membro da Igreja Batista, tornou-se um dos mais importantes l\u00edderes do ativismo pelos direitos civis (para negros e mulheres, principalmente) nos Estados Unidos e no mundo, atrav\u00e9s de uma campanha de n\u00e3o-viol\u00eancia e de amor para com o pr\u00f3ximo. Se tornou a pessoa mais jovem a receber o Pr\u00eamio Nobel da Paz em 1964, pouco antes de seu assassinato. Seu discurso mais famoso e lembrado \u00e9 \u201cEu Tenho Um Sonho\u201d.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry clearfloat\" style=\"clear:left;float:left;margin-bottom:1em;margin-right:1em;\"><span style=\"display:none;\">Visite: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gospelmais.com.br\/\" title=\"Gospel\">Gospel<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/noticias.gospelmais.com.br\/\" title=\"Noticias Gospel\">Noticias Gospel<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/videos.gospelmais.com.br\/\" title=\"Videos Gospel\">Videos Gospel<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/musica.gospelmais.com.br\/\" title=\"Musica Gospel\">Musica Gospel<\/a><\/span>  A DreamWorks anunciou em maio passado ter adquirido os direitos sobre o Nobel da Paz assassinado, a primeira vez que um filme biogr\u00e1fico sobre King foi autorizado por seu esp\u00f3lio.<br \/>Mas o projeto, produzido por Steven Spielberg, rapidamente afundou devido a brigas entre os tr\u00eas filhos de King sobre quem teria a autoridade de falar em nome do esp\u00f3lio.<br \/>No entanto, a DreamWorks, ao anunciar Harwood como roteirista, indicou que a disputa foi resolvida, dizendo que o filme foi \u201cautorizado pelo esp\u00f3lio de King para utilizar a propriedade intelectual do dr. King para criar o retrato definitivo de sua vida\u201d.<br \/>King, que foi pioneiro nos esfor\u00e7os de obter igualdade racial atrav\u00e9s da desobedi\u00eancia civil n\u00e3o violenta, foi assassinado em abril de 1968 aos 39 anos.
